Details on the dispatch proposal
As you have read in the newspaper, the mayors of Stow, Cuyahoga Falls and Tallmadge have proposed forming a Council of Governments (a “COG”), which would handle 911 dispatch services for their cities, as well as other Summit County municipalities that seek it.
We had a lengthy meeting on September 20 to discuss the proposal. All of our city councils and administrations were present. Each council asked a lot of good questions. I wanted to share the meeting minutes from that night. Please click below to access them:

Council will hold a meeting on October 13 to further discuss the proposal. I would encourage you to attend if you have questions that were not answered in the 9-20 meeting. Alternatively, if you have a viewpoint on the proposal–positive or negative–council would like to hear it.
