Stow Police – 2016 Annual Report to the Public
Stow Police recently released its annual report. Here are some interesting facts:
- Total calls for service decreased 3.6% (from 22,361 to 21,565). These calls resulted in 1,381 arrests.
- Statistically speaking, the most likely time for a call is a Friday in May at 4 p.m.
- Police issued 4,609 traffic warnings and 2,771 traffic citations. There were 1,008 traffic crashes, 142 of which resulted in injury.
- We have 20 dispatchers who fielded about 15,000 calls per month, and inputted 45,548 incidents into the computer database. We dispatch for Stow, and also for Tallmadge, Mogadore and Randolph Township.
- Our 20 reserve officers logged 3,285 volunteer hours.
